When we hear, ‘we want Central Ohio to be a thriving community where everyone has access to opportunity,’ what comes to mind? A healthier community? Stronger food security? More affordable housing? Easier access to transportation? Universal preschool? Higher quality education for more students? Economic mobility for families?
Most of us see opportunity in all of these things, and much more.
I love my work at HandsOn Central Ohio because it makes opportunity possible for so many people in our community every day. And, it gives me an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that has the potential to strengthen the neighborhoods I know and love (like North Linden). HandsOn is not just another nonprofit organization, but the strength of all the service organizations in our community. Our model works because of the relationships we’ve developed with people in need, organizations primed to alleviate those needs, and volunteers who are passionate about making Columbus the No. 1 service community in the country.
HandsOn is not just another nonprofit organization, but the strength of all the service organizations in our community.
Partnership is “The Columbus Way.” Because of partnerships with thousands of organizations and volunteers, we brought opportunity within reach for more than 350,000 people last year. Together, we can transform central Ohio for even more people in the days ahead.
Columbus is strongest when its people — US — stand together. Thank you for your partnership.
